Poetic English adaptation

I know, if you gently knock
upon the door of my heart,
I'll have to let you go—
you, blurred and brimming in my eyes.

Memories can no longer keep pace
with the hands of a racing clock.
And when the story that began
the moment I first found you reaches its end,
I'll try to smile.

That slanting light cuts through the air,
kindling a fire that reaches for me.
I turn away,
afraid of turning into ash.

Yet the color we called "us,"
filling the spaces between empty pages,
was a beautiful film
that never needed to be perfect.

Through the nights we shared,
to the sound of a heart coming into bloom,
I connect the stars across the night sky
and trace the shape of you.

Here, in this moment,
I paint the time I spent with you,
and perhaps this version of me
is being written into a name—
First Love.
