gongwon
gongwon’s “Flower” follows someone who wants to keep growing, even when they dislike what they see in themselves. It appears on the EP 0, also featured in the live session below.
The speaker in “Flower” hoped to bloom, but compares themselves to mold in a damp room. The song pairs that harsh self-image with a wish to keep growing and be loved. This is the official recording from gongwon’s EP 0.
Lyrics by gongwon; music by gongwon and Bae Do Hyub; arranged by Bae Do Hyub. First released as a single on 30 January 2026, then included on 0 on 24 February 2026.

INSIDE THE LYRICS
Growing in a damp room
- Self-acceptance
- Self-worth
The official English title is Flower, while 곰팡이 means “mold.” That mismatch points to the song’s central image: the speaker measures their own growth against the flower they had expected to become.
The single’s release note names loneliness, envy, fear and shame. In the lyrics, difficult feelings help keep the speaker alive, even as they struggle with how they see themselves. Read this way, the request for love does not wait for those feelings to disappear.
움으로 끝나는Several Korean words for feelings share this ending: 외로움 (loneliness), 두려움 (fear) and 부끄러움 (shame). The single’s release note names each of these, connecting the repeated sound to specific emotions.
