INSIDE THE LYRICS
Calling to someone absent
- Absence
- Longing
The refrain calls out to Mimi and asks why love disappears. A request for a friend to find the speaker gives the absence a second direction: someone missing also wants to be sought. The lyric leaves Mimi’s identity open.
Written and composed by youra, “Flicker” appeared on her first EP, B side. Car, the garden arranged and featured on the original recording after hearing her demo. This version is an ONSTAGE live performance.

INSIDE THE LYRICS
Closeness and hesitation
- Intimacy
- Uncertainty
An embrace under a flickering streetlight leads into uncertainty about whether the connection is imagined. The speaker’s wish to hide leaves that uncertainty unresolved.
“Motif” places a sinking sandcastle beside a garden where eternity was promised. It opens youra’s first full-length album and was composed with Mandong bassist Song Namhyun. This is the artist’s official audio.
Lyrics by youra; music by youra and Song Namhyun; arranged by Song Namhyun. Best R&B & Soul Song, Korean Music Awards 2024.

INSIDE THE LYRICS
Something fragile beside a promise
- Fragility
- Uncertainty
A sinking sandcastle and a garden associated with eternity put fragility beside a promise of permanence. The recurring invitation to walk farther keeps the song moving while leaving the relationship between those images open.
